Under Jewish law, life does not begin at conception. The fetus is not viewed as separate from the parent’s body until birth begins and the first breath of oxygen into the lungs allows the soul to enter the body. Jewish sources explicitly state that abortion is not only permitted but is required should the pregnancy endanger the life or the physical or psychological health of the pregnant individual.

When we demonstrate that we can do the work and move the needle in Missouri, we will be able to attract outside groups to join and invest in our fight.
